This red, earthy, wheel-thrown mug is the canvass for a botanical illustration created by me, one at a time, on paper, and mono-printed on the clay in a process known as slip transfer.

The inside of the mug and the inside of the handle are glazed in bold colors, complimenting the flowers that pop off of the rustic body of the mug. The combination of shiny and raw surfaces create a mug that your hands want to hold.
