Home Studio
Penina Shoshan Pottery is the project that makes me feel the most like myself - both colorful and earthy, and forever trying out new ideas. I create functional pottery in my small backyard studio. During the summer, the sliding doors to the studio stand wide open. Our family's city chickens and ducks wander over to say hello, while my hands form around clay at the potter's wheel. In the winter I huddle inside with the heater blasting and my favorite podcasts queued up, carving new ceramic stamps and using them to hand build jewelry. I particularly love making ceramic earrings and necklaces, and love sending cups, mugs, and bowls to their new homes.
